ECONOMIC SPACE AGENCY – LABS

Distributing Economic Space Agency to Everyone
PARC as a strategy for Labs
We want to reconceive the environment of development and use Xerox Parc as our concept: we are instrumentalising PARC as an operative form of the Labs.
This instrumentation starts from understanding Xerox Parc as a concept of development: Xerox Parc was a method to experiment and explore when facing a new medium of expression: The computer. Xerox Parc was a method to experiment with it, to explicitly bring together people from various disciplines, to figure out together what are its capabilities, what can you do with it, how to interface with it. And what amazing things did they figure out: the graphical interface, windows, icons, the mouse. Stateful programming languages and integrated development environments like Small Talk and Self; local areas computer networks – and of course the Alto; and the ways to get children excited to express themselves.
We need to do exactly the same now with the economic media: we want to figure out what exactly is it, what are its capabilities, what can you do with it and how should we interface with it?! This is the task of ECSA Labs.
Distributed organization as a structure
Game as an approach
ECSA is permanently in the process developing Labs in different locations, following invitations and our proactive proposals in different locations.

We are playing economic networks into existence.
